President: Snehal Kadam, P.E., LEED AP
Snehal Kadam received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Mumbai, India and Master of Science degree from University of Missouri- Kansas City University both in Civil Engineering. Snehal is currently licensed in the state of Arizona. She was one of the founding members of the student chapter of SEAKM at University of Missouri, serving as Vice President in its first year on campus. She was awarded the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Missouri Chapter’s Outstanding Graduate Student of the Year Award in 2004-2005. Snehal is presently a senior engineer with Thornton Tomasetti in Kansas City, MO. The majority of her experience has been in stadium and arena design. Some of the projects she has been involved with are the Bank of Oklahoma Center in Tulsa, Dow Diamond Stadium in Michigan, Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh and the new Barclay Center in Brooklyn. She has also done long span roofs design and their staged construction analysis for Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh and Barclay Center in Brooklyn.

Vice-President: Joseph Thomas, P.E., LEED AP
Mr. Thomas received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University. Joseph is currently licensed in the state of Kansas. He was one of the founding members of the student chapter of SEAKM at Kansas State, serving as Vice President in its first year on campus and president the next. Joseph is presently a senior engineer with Thornton Tomasetti in Kansas City, MO. The majority of his experience has been in stadium and arena design. Some of the projects he has been involved with are the Bank of Oklahoma Center in Tulsa, renovations to Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, and renovations to the Superdome in New Orleans. He has also represented his firm in a six-month employee exchange program with Leif Hansen A/S in Copenhagen, Denmark. Prior to joining Thornton Tomasetti, Joseph worked for another engineering firm in Oklahoma doing work in the retail and education sectors.

Secretary: Christine S. Earle, PE
Christine S. Earle is currently a Level III engineer in the Energy Division at Black & Veatch Corporation where her primary responsibility is to provide structural engineering related design and analysis for domestic and international projects. She graduated from Howard University in December 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and is currently licensed in the state of Kansas.
Christine has worked on natural gas liquefaction (NGL), coal-fired and combined cycle power plants in the capacity of design engineer and civil field engineer and is presently assigned to the Nuclear Division as a civil/structural engineer, responsible for performing analyses and calculations for the design of foundations. She is also a contributing member of the Black & Veatch Structural Roundtable, a forum to discuss structural design issues and supplement the technical development of engineering professionals.
She is a member of the Tau Beta Pi DC Alpha Chapter, ASCE, AISC and NSBE Kansas City Alumni Extension and most recently functioned as the 2010 SEAKM Awards Committee Chair. Christine is also a mentor for the Blue Valley School District CAPS Program (Project Lead the Way) in their Civil Engineering and Architecture class and tutors geometry to inner-city high school students at the W.E.B. Du Bois Learning Center located in Kansas City, Missouri.

Treasurer: Jeff D. McMillen, P.E.
Jeff McMillen received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University and Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas. Jeff is currently licensed in the state’s of Kansas and Missouri. He is presently a structural engineer with HDR|Archer in Lee’s Summit, MO. The majority of his experience has been in cooling tower and water and wastewater treatment plant design. Some of the projects he has been involved with are the rebuild of the hyperbolic cooling tower #3 at Three Mile Island Power Plant. He has also designed many facilities for several large wastewater districts in the 2 state area.

2009-2010 Past President: Curtis Geise, P.E., BSCP, LEED AP
Mr. Geise received his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering and a Masters of Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas. He is a registered engineer in the states of Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri and Nebraska and Oklahoma. He has over 10 years of experience in various structural engineering projects: baseball stadiums, arenas, convention centers, office buildings, parking structures along with environmental structures. He is a Building Security Certified Professional and a U.S. Green Building Council Certified LEED AP. Mr. Geise is a Structural Project Engineer for HNTB Architecture in Kansas City, MO.

Amber Dickson received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. She has been employed with Needham and Associates at both the Fort Wayne office and the Kansas City office.

Mark Warnecke received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla. His 20 years of experience includes an Army Officer, a Structural Engineer working in the petrochemical industry, and an Information Technology Project Manager. Mark is presently a Senior Structural Engineer with Burns & McDonnell.

2006-2007 Past President: Steve Ashton, P.E.
Steve Ashton has been with AISC since September 1998. While preparing and presenting seminars over the past eight years he has become quite familiar with many aspects of steel design and construction. His responsibilities include the promotion, administration and organization of continuing education programs to explain and enhance the understanding of AISC manuals, publications, and related topics.
Prior to joining AISC, he gained eight years of design experience working as a structural engineer for Burns & McDonnell in Kansas City Missouri. His responsibilities included the preparing contract drawings, specifications, cost estimates and bid evaluations. He served on numerous industrial projects covering a broad array of both office and field assignments.
He also has hands-on fabrication experience. During his college years he worked for Egger Steel Company in Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he gained experience in the fabrication shop as a laborer and in the drafting department as a structural steel detailer.
He has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas.

2005-2006 Past President: Karen S. Hand, P.E.
Karen Hand received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in May 93. She is currently licensed to practice engineering in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Maine. She served as SEAKM Member Services Chair in 2002-2003, SEAKM KC Chapter secretary in 2003-2005 and SEAKM KC Chapter President in 2005-2006. She has been employed at Needham and Associates, Inc. in Overland Park KS since 1998.

2004-2005 Past President: Richard A. Meloy, P.E., S.E.
Richard Meloy received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla. His experience spans over 25 years in both the Structural and Civil Engineering fields in consulting and industry. Richard has chaired SEAKM's Professional Practice Committee for the last two years and is presently a member of the Specialty Structural Engineers Subcommittee of the CASE National Guidelines Committee. He is registered in Missouri, Kansas, New Jersey and Illinois (Structural). Richard is presently a senior structural engineer with Burns and McDonnell.

2002-2003 Past President: Thomas F. Heausler, P.E., S.E.
Mr. Heausler was one of the four incorporators of SEAKM during its formation in September 2001. He has 20 years of consulting structural experience, including 5 years in San Francisco, 4 at Burns and McDonnell and the last six years as President of Heausler Structural Engineers. He is registered in 15 states and has attained structural registration in California and Illinois. Mr. Heausler holds bachelors and masters degrees from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.
